News on the last version of Invaders From Far Space

Today, RFM Software has uploaded a new version of Invaders From Far Space (version 5.4.X). This version has solved a lot of bugs and crashes, has added a new survival mode and a crash report system.

This version has been tested with external bluetooth controller (Wiimote) and keeps the screen on during play. Invaders from far Space has been aproved with GameTel and others Pad's controllers.

What's ACRA?

ACRA (http://acra.ch/) is a library enabling Android Application to automatically post their crash reports to a GoogleDoc form. It is targetted to android applications developers to help them get data from their applications when they crash or behave erroneously.

Bugs are a nightmare

RFM Software has published a "rollback" version of "Invaders from far Space" (3.5.2) because the latests versions of "Invaders from far Space" have a bug (a little big bug) that does not let playing.

Please, upgrade to this new (old) version to avoid crash problems when playing this game.

RFM Software will continue working to find and destroy the bug.

Invaders from far Space next changes

RFM software is working to avoid OutOfMemory errors when the game is loading resource images.

96x96

HD alien (up to 960 pixels):

32x32

SD alien (up to 320 pixels):

Invaders from far Space are designed and packed with HD graphics (big bitmaps with big memory allocation).

This package system (with HD assets) allows Invaders from far Space to be played in ldpi o xhdpi screens, but, some old devices can't handle the HD images included in the APK package and crashes (on every stage, when ship die, etc.).

To solve this problem, RFM Software will change the resolution resources on the next package.

The next updates of Invaders from far Space are going to be packed with low resolution images (320 pixels máx.).

If you are playing Invaders from far Space on H.D. device or devices with screen resolution > 320 pixels, you can download a new package from RFM Software available on Android Market with the H.D graphics.
